大家好！今天，我站在国旗下演讲的主题是“最美四阅天，书香能致远”。
Dear teachers and classmates,
Hello everyone! Today, my speech is titled "The Beauty of April Reading: Where Books Illuminate the Future."
书籍就像一把钥匙，能打开未知世界的大门。每年的4月23日，是联合国教科文组织设立的“世界图书与版权日”又称“世界读书日”这一节日的灵感源于西班牙加泰罗尼亚地区的“圣乔治节”。传说中，勇士乔治屠龙救美，获赠象征智慧与勇气的书籍，此后这一天成为互赠玫瑰与书籍的传统节日。
Books are like keys that unlock doors to unknown worlds. Every April 23rd marks UNESCO’s World Book and Copyright Day, also known as World Reading Day, inspired by Catalonia’s Saint George’s Day. Legend tells of the knight George slaying a dragon to save a princess, receiving a book symbolizing wisdom and courage. This day became a tradition of exchanging roses and books.
1995年，联合国正式将其定为全球性文化庆典，旨在推广阅读、保护知识产权，并鼓励人类通过书籍探索精神世界。
2025年，世界读书日迎来第30周年。在全球化的今天，书籍不仅是知识的载体，更是跨越时空的桥梁。
当我们翻开《昆虫记》，可以和法布尔一起观察蚂蚁筑巢；读《钢铁是怎样炼成的》，能感受保尔·柯察金在逆境中的坚韧；品读《繁星·春水》，仿佛触摸到冰心笔下温暖的星光与母爱。
阅读不仅让我们积累知识，更教会我们思考——它能点燃好奇心，培养专注力，甚至在我们迷茫时，像灯塔一样指引方向。
In 1995, the United Nations established this global celebration to promote reading, protect intellectual property, and encourage humanity to explore the spiritual world through books.
In 2025, we celebrate its 30th anniversary. Today, books are not just vessels of knowledge but bridges across time and space.
When we open The Story of Insects, we observe ants with Fabre; reading How the Steel Was Tempered, we feel Pavel Korchagin’s resilience; and savoring Stars and Spring Water, we touch the warmth of Bing Xin’s words. Reading builds knowledge, teaches us to think, ignites curiosity, and guides us like a lighthouse in darkness.
作为初中生，我们可以用这些行动让阅读更有力量：
1. 每天“充电30分钟”：早起背一首古诗，睡前看一篇励志故事，让读书像吃饭一样自然。
2. 让书本“动”起来：读完《海底两万里》，试着画一张鹦鹉螺号航行地图；学了历史课本，用《半小时漫画中国史》巩固知识，让阅读变得有趣又扎实！
3. 和同学“组队读书”：在班级成立“读书打卡圈”，每周分享摘抄和感悟；和爸爸妈妈共读《傅雷家书》，把书中智慧变成全家人的话题。
多读书、读好书是成长路上照亮未来的火炬。书籍沉淀人类智慧，读经典能滋养心灵、锤炼品格，让思想在文字间扎根；。愿你们以书为帆，在知识的海洋中破浪前行，用阅读丰盈生命，为中华崛起积淀力量！
同学们，每一本书都是一艘小船，载着我们去往更远的地方。让我们从今天开始，放下手机，捧起书本，在《朝花夕拾》里回望童年，在《数理化通俗演义》中探索科学，让青春的成长因阅读而闪闪发光！

1. “Daily 30-Minute Boost”: Recite a poem at dawn, read an inspiring story at night—make reading as natural as breathing.
2. Bring Books to Life: After 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, map the Nautilus’s voyage; pair history lessons with A Funny History of China in Half an Hour for fun learning!
3. Read Together: Start a “Reading Challenge Circle” to share quotes weekly; read Fu Lei’s Family Letters with parents, turning wisdom into family conversations.
Reading widely and deeply lights our path forward. Classics nurture our souls and sharpen our minds. Let books be your compass as you sail the seas of knowledge, enriching your lives and fueling the rise of China!
